A continent Trump has mocked and pressured over his Greenland ambition, signing a trade deal with a country he has sought to corner with sky-high tariffs, will no doubt be a sore sight. The eccentric US President would likely see this as open defiance as the trade deal with India hangs fire, not for policy reasons, but just because Prime Minister Narendra Modi has refused to massage his ego. On the other hand, the EU has also halted the approval of its trade deal with the US.
